Lugnuts unveil 2021 schedule
LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Lugnuts, High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, are proud to reveal the schedule for their 25th season, beginning with Opening Day on Tuesday, May 4th, at Jackson® Field™ and continuing through the season finale on Sunday, September 19th. LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Lugnuts, High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, are proud to reveal the schedule for their 25th season, beginning with Opening Day on Tuesday, May 4th, at Jackson® Field™ and continuing through the season finale on Sunday, September 19th.
The schedule will see the Lugnuts play 20 six-game series stretching from Tuesday through Sunday, totaling 60 home games and 120 games overall in the newly reorganized High-A Central. Every Monday will be a league-wide off day.
The Nuts are notably scheduled to host games on Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9th; Father’s Day on Sunday, June 20th; and Independence Day, Sunday, July 4th.
Of the other five teams in the East Division, the Nuts are scheduled to face the West Michigan Whitecaps, Great Lakes Loons and Dayton Dragons 24 times each and the Lake County Captains and Fort Wayne TinCaps 18 times each. Lansing is scheduled for only two series with West Division ballclubs, both in June, hosting the South Bend Cubs and traveling to play at the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
The Lansing Lugnuts are working with state and local health official to best determine Jackson® Field™ stadium capacity and health regulations moving forward.
