Four Asheville Home Runs Help Sink Rome 8-3

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists lost their seventh straight game on Wednesday night, 11-6 to the Greenville Drive. Asheville allowed four Home Runs and a seven-run inning in the loss. It is the most runs the Tourists have given up in an inning all season.
Espinosa Drives in Five as Yacumamas Clobber Salsa 16-3
WINSTON-SALEM- The Yacumamas de Asheville took it to the Winston-Salem Salsa on Thursday night with a 16-3 victory. Asheville scored a season-high 16 runs and their 13-run margin of victory was the largest of the year as well. The Yacumamas snapped a four-game skid with the win.

HICKORY- The Asheville Tourists overcame a six-run deficit to defeat the Hickory Crawdads in extra innings on Thursday night by a final score of 12-9. Asheville pounded out a season-high 23 hits and stunned the Crawdads home crowd with a thrilling Game Three victory.

Early Offense Enough as Tourists Hold Off Braves
ROME- The Asheville Tourists defeated the Rome Braves 4-3 on Sunday afternoon to earn a road series split. Asheville built a 4-0 lead early and held off Rome’s comeback attempt with a great pitching performance from Carlos Calderon and Ryan Gusto.

GREENVILLE- The Asheville Tourists are developing a gritty, no-quit reputation early in the year. Asheville rallied in impressive fashion in the ninth inning to force extras and used a Nerio Rodriguez Grand Slam in the top of the tenth to defeat the Greenville Drive 8-5 in extras.

GREENVILLE- The Asheville Tourists dropped their series-opener to the Greenville Drive on Tuesday night by a final score of 7-5. The loss drops the Tourists to 0-2 on the season and moves the Drive to 1-2 after they lost a pair of games at Rome last weekend.
