Villar, who was also named PCL MVP and a Post-Season All-Star, hit .275 with 67 runs, 19 doubles, 27 homers, 82 RBIs, and a 1.021 OPS through 84 games in his debut Triple-A season.
The 25-year-old, who ended the season in the Majors, has been named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star in three of his four Minor League seasons (2018, 2021, and 2022) since being selected in the 11th round out of South Florida by San Francisco in 2018.
Díaz hit .275 with 60 runs, 12 doubles, 23 home runs, 61 RBIs, and a .951 OPS in 83 games with Sacramento, one of which included a pinch-hit game-tying homer in the ninth, and a walk-off big fly in the 11th against Reno on June 11.
The 26-year-old, who was added to the Giants’ 40-man roster on Nov. 9, has been named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star five times with four different franchises (Arizona in 2015, Milwaukee in 2016, Miami in 2018 and 2019, and San Francisco in 2022).
Both Díaz and Villar also won team awards in 2022, with Villar being named team MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, while Díaz was the River Cats’ Most Exciting Player.
