SOUTH BEND, IN - The South Bend Cubs are hosting National Anthem Auditions on Saturday, February 17, 2018 presented by Kountry Cabinets & Home Furnishings. In a change from recent years, the tryouts will be held at the University Park Mall from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
"Every year, these auditions bring out the best singers from around Michiana and beyond," said South Bend Cubs Director of Media and Promotions Chris Hagstrom-Jones. "Our hope with moving these tryouts to the mall is to provide a live atmosphere for those auditioning as opposed to a small room with a panel of intimidating judges like Mark McGill."
Aspiring singers and groups will perform for McGill, the South Bend Cubs on-field host, and a panel of judges. The first 100 persons to pre-register for this event will receive a scheduled audition time. Walk-up auditions will be allowed, if time permits, but are not guaranteed.
Audition forms are available by clicking here. Forms can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the South Bend Cubs Main Office at Four Winds Field. Applications are due by February 12.
More Information:
Performances of the National Anthem are not to exceed two minutes. Groups must include all members in the tryout.
Any performers who are not present when their name is called may not get the opportunity to audition live for our panel of judges. Auditions are on a first come, first served basis. Therefore, an audition time is not guaranteed. All auditions must be performed a cappella, without instrumental accompaniment.
