Brendan King

Brendan King will begin his 6th full season with the South Bend Cubs in 2025 after returning to the club in 2022. In 2021 he was the #2 announcer for the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians. Brendan called the 574 home for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, working with the team as a broadcaster and media relations assistant. He was on the call for the club's 2019 and 2022 Midwest League Championships.

A 2017 graduate of Butler University, BK spends the baseball off-season's with the local ESPN Radio affiliate in Indy, 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan. With The Fan, King has worked his way up since serving as an intern on The Dan Dakich Show in 2016. Now on-air with the station, Brendan was named the radio studio host for the 2021 NCAA Tournament in Indy, as well as for the Indianapolis 500. King also works with Fox Sports, broadcasting Big East Athletics through the Big East Digital Network.

As a native of the Chicago suburbs, BK has a passion for the Cubs organization, and everything about both Wrigley and Four Winds Field. He is thrilled to be back and looks forward to bringing the great South Bend Cubs fans coverage of some of the top prospects in the system all season long.

Tyler Reidy

Tyler Reidy enters his first season with the South Bend Cubs in 2025. He spent the 2024 summer in the Northwoods League as the television voice of the St. Cloud Rox, working in the broadcast booth for the All-Star Game and four postseason games. At the year’s end, he was honored as the Northwoods League Broadcaster of the Year for the Great Plains Division.

Currently a student in the University of Notre Dame’s Class of 2026, Reidy is in his first year as the play-by-play voice of Fighting Irish hockey on the Notre Dame Radio Network. During the 2024-25 season, he called games at the Friendship Four tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the Frozen Confines series at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Reidy has also spent the 2024-25 school year as a Sports Director for WVFI, Notre Dame’s student radio station, and as the Sports Editor at The Observer, the student newspaper serving the campus. For WVFI, he broadcast the first College Football Playoff game in Notre Dame Stadium history and the National Championship game in Atlanta.

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Reidy is excited to meet Cub fans around the ballpark this season and join BK in documenting the next chapter of South Bend baseball.

Radio Broadcasts

The 2025 season of South Bend Cubs baseball can be heard on Sports Radio WSBT, now airing on 960 AM, as well as 1400 AM and 106.1 FM in Southwest Michigan. WSBT has been the flagship home of the Cubs since 2015 and longtime radio home, first airing on the network in 1992.

Brendan King is set to return to Four Winds Field and has been named the ‘Voice of the South Bend Cubs’. Joining King in the broadcast booth this season is Tyler Reidy, the play-by-play voice of Notre Dame Hockey on WSBT Radio. Reidy, who previously spent time on-air with the St. Cloud Rox in the Northwoods League, will make his South Bend Cubs radio debut in April.

Broadcasts begin 20 before first pitch with the Best One Tire & Auto Care Pre-Game Show.

In the event of a preemption, South Bend Cubs baseball will be available on 96.1 FM. Details on those dates will be announced when applicable.

South Bend Cubs on Marquee Sports Network

Marquee Sports Networked announced their 2025 Cubs minor league coverage which includes 10 South Bend Cubs games on the Chicago Cubs television network. The Voice of the South Bend Cubs Brendan King will be joined in the booth this season by Tyler Reidy. The full minor league broadcast schedule can be found here.

South Bend Cubs on My Michiana

The South Bend Cubs have renewed their partnership with Weigel Broadcasting Co. and will broadcast 11 regular season home games on stations My Michiana (WMYS) and CW25 (WCWW). This marks the 11th season that Weigel stations have locally broadcast the Cubs. WMYS airs on channel 69 in South Bend while WCWW is found on channel 25.
