Chiefs' home opener rained out
Today's game between the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs has been postponed due to rain. The game will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced. Syracuse right-hander Tanner Roark and Lehigh Valley left-hander Adam Morgan are scheduled to throw on Saturday.
The Chiefs and IronPigs will play a single game tomorrow at 2:00. The game will serve as the Chiefs' home opener, with Opening Day festivities scheduled for before the game. Former Syracuse Orange basketball player Brandon Triche will throw out the first pitch. The teams' Sunday doubleheader at 2:00 will also go on as scheduled.
Tickets and parking stubs for today's game can be redeemed for up to one year from today's date. Tickets for all Chiefs home games can also be purchased online at syracusechiefs.com, by calling 315-474-7833 or in person at the Chiefs ticket office. Fans can use the team's new ticketing system which allows fans to select their seats online and print their tickets from home.
