CONEY ISLAND, NY (September 3, 2021) – The Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets supported Alec Kisena with two five-run innings en route to a 10-1 thumping of the Wilmington Blue Rocks Friday night at Maimonides Park.

KEY PLAYS

• Brooklyn’s Alec Kisena collected a season-high six innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts and no walks in the victory. The Seattle native allowed three over the minimum, tossing an efficient 81 pitches.
• Leading 5-1 into the sixth, the Cyclones scored five runs in one inning for the second time in the game. Francisco Alvarez demolished a 428-foot home run over the video board in left field to kick-start the inning. Later in the frame Luis Gonzalez drove in a pair with a big bounding grounder over the left side of the infield.
