ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists played the Winston-Salem Dash tough for nine innings on Tuesday, however came up short by a final score of 7-1. Asheville and Winston-Salem each had ten hits and the Tourists starting pitcher, Jose Guedez, did not allow a hit until the fifth inning.

GREENVILLE- The Asheville Tourists received a pitching gem from their Wednesday night duo of Jose Guedez and Manuel Urias. Guedez dominated the Greenville Drive for five innings while Urias kept Asheville in front during the final four frames. The pitching effort was critical in the Tourists 3-2 win over the

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists played a solid game Thursday against the Bowling Green Hot Rods but fell one run short of winning their second straight. Despite the 6-5 loss, Jose Guedez was outstanding over the first five innings and the Tourists offense continued to produce.

WINSTON-SALEM- The Asheville Tourists were shut out by the Winston-Salem Dash on Friday night, 3-0. It is the second time the Tourists have been shutout this season; however, Asheville still possesses the South Atlantic League’s second ranked offensive unit.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists dropped a close game to the Greenville Drive 3-2 on Friday night. The Tourists nearly pulled out the win with a furious eighth inning rally; however, the Drive narrowly escaped when a three-run Homer was barely foul and a play at the plate went the way

HICKORY- The Asheville Tourists pitching staff continued their excellent week of action on Saturday night with another noteworthy performance. The Tourists pitchers held the Hickory to a total of three hits, the fewest allowed in a game all season, yet Asheville fell by a final score of 3-2.

ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists fell to the Rome Emperors 10-4 on Saturday night. The game was much closer than the final score would indicate as Asheville kept it close until the ninth inning.

BROOKLYN- The Asheville Tourists fell to the Brooklyn Cyclones on Sunday by a final score of 4-3. Asheville led in the early going, but Brooklyn hit a two-run Home Run to claim a 3-2 lead.
