This Polar Park pooch inspires us to believe in the power of goodness, kindness, and compassion, no matter what hand we are dealt. And yes, he loves the city’s vibrance; he loves the city’s hydrants!

Representing Los Wepas de Worcester, Roberto the Rocket pays tribute to the famed physicist, engineer, and Worcester native Robert Goddard—the father of space travel and inventor of the liquid-fueled rocket. Roberto wears 21 as a nod to heroic Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente, and passionately embraces our Hispanic and Latin populations as well.

Paying tribute to front line heroes and first responders, Clara, the Heart of the Commonwealth is named for Worcester County native Clara Barton, a teacher, a nurse, an army medic—and ultimately , the founder of the American Red Cross. Hailing from Oxford, Barton was born in 1821, 200 years before the birth of Polar Park.
