The Delmarva Shorebirds are excited to be hosting Shorebirds Movie Night presented by Valvoline Instant Oil Change. The event is set to take place on Friday, September 4, 2020, with the movie, Sonic the Hedgehog, beginning at 7:30 PM and gates opening at 6:00 PM. Admission to the event costs $10 per person which includes admission and one (1) Pepsi Product and Popcorn with each ticket courtesy of Valvoline Instant Oil Change. Tickets must be bought online prior to your arrival at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and fans will be allowed to sit on the field in socially distanced squares that will be assigned at check-in. Admission: Tickets for the Shorebirds Movie Night presented by Valvoline Instant Oil Change cost $10 per person and include admission to the event and one (1) Pepsi product & popcorn courtesy of Valvoline Instant Oil Change. The Pepsi product and popcorn will be distributed at the check-in table when you arrive to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. When walking up to the stadium, please arrive with everyone in your party due to social distancing regulations.
Movie: The movie chosen by the Shorebirds fans that we will be showing is Sonic the Hedgehog. The movie is rated PG and is a fun, family movie for people of all ages. The movie will be played on the Shorebirds high-definition videoboard with the movie slated to begin at approximately 7:30 PM.
Arthur W. Perdue Stadium: The event will take place at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and the gates for entrance will open at 6 PM. The Shorebirds encourage fans to arrive early as all fans will have to go through proper COVID-19 screening regulations before being admitted into the stadium due to local and state health guidelines.
Seating: All fans must purchase their tickets prior to arrival and the cost is $10 per person. Once you have your tickets, please make sure to arrive to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium with your entire party due to social distancing guidelines. From there, everyone will stop by the check-in table located at the Shorebirds main entrance where fans will then be ushered to their seats on the field that will be assigned at check-in. Squares on the field are 10 feet by 10 feet and fans will have an additional 10 feet on each side between the next square for social distancing purposes.
Please Note: Chairs are not permitted in the outfield at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Beach towels, blankets, and pillows are permitted in the outfield for fans to bring into the stadium to watch the movie.
Handicap Seating: Handicap Seating is available for fans that are unable to sit in the outfield lawn. If you require handicap seating, please let the Shorebirds staff know upon check-in and we will be more than happy to assist.
Wicomico Goes Purple: Shorebirds Movie Night presented by Valvoline Instant Oil Change will also serve as the kickoff event for Wicomico Goes Purple which strives to promote conversations around the dangers of substance misuse & abuse and encourages our community to take a stand against it. Annually, the Shorebirds host the kickoff event for Wicomico Goes Purple at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and are thrilled that Valvoline Instant Oil Change partnered with the Shorebirds to continue to host this awesome event as we raise awareness of prevention, treatment, and recovery resources available in our community and emphasize the important role our enforcement agencies play to combat this epidemic.
Food Drive: For the Wicomico Goes Purple Food Drive, fans can bring canned goods to the stadium that day and receive a FREE Go Purple T-Shirt with all the goods collected being donated to local recovery houses.
Wear Purple: All fans attending Shorebirds Movie Night presented by Valvoline Instant Oil Change are encouraged to wear purple in support of Wicomico Goes Purple
Concessions: The Delmarva Shorebirds will have concessions open for the Movie Night. No outside food or drink will be permitted inside Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for the event.
Bathrooms: The Delmarva Shorebirds bathrooms will be open to the public and sanitized regularly throughout the event. Additionally, there will be hand sanitizing stations located across Arthur W. Perdue Stadium that will be available for fans to use.
Parking: Parking for this event is FREE to the public.
Timing/COVID-19 Regulations: As mentioned earlier, please plan on giving yourself ample time to ensure you are seated before the beginning of the movie. We recommend all guests arrive by no later than 7 PM to complete the COVID-19 screening that way we can ensure everyone can get to their seat before the show begins.
Masks: Masks must be worn by all guests when entering the stadium and can be removed once you reach your square on the field or seat inside Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. If you leave your square for concessions, to use the bathroom, etc. you must put your face mask on due to health guidelines.
