The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Boston Red Sox Minor League pitcher Anthony Felix, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Red Sox, has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance enhancing substance in violation of Major League Baseball’s Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for Minor League Players Assigned Outside of the United States and Canada.

Felix, 20, had appeared in 14 games this season with the DSL Red Sox, Boston's rookie-level affiliate. He was 2-0 with 26 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings out of the bullpen, picking up a pair of saves and two wins.

The reliever signed with the Red Sox on June 1 as an international free agent.
