The Worcester Red Sox lead all 120 Minor League Baseball teams in attendance at the halfway point of the 2022 season. Polar Park has welcomed 339,937 fans in 48 home games through July 11.

Polar Park’s achievement comes in just its second season since opening. Worcester leads the next-highest Nashville Sounds, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, in attendance by nearly 18,000 tickets.

“No matter what you’re looking for, we have something to accommodate everybody and show them a good time,” said WooSox Senior Manager of Ticket Sales Ryan Nesbit. “Even if you’re not a big baseball fan, it’s just a good time to be in the ballpark sharing food and drinks with friends and family, and being out in the sun and enjoying some nice weather.”

Polar Park has played host to 26 sellouts; over half of WooSox home games have been considered sellouts.

“Our season ticket members have the base of our support,” Nesbit said. “And the City of Worcester has welcomed us with open arms. [It] has been really cool to see and hear the impact we’ve been having on the people of the area.”

The WooSox have the 6th highest average attendance in Minor League Baseball, despite playing in the 3rd smallest park in the International League and 8th smallest park in Triple-A.

Polar Park is unveiling multiple new initiatives in the second half of the season and will host 27 home games after the All-Star break.
