The Renegades Outstanding Student-Athlete program is designed to honor and reward the outstanding individuals at our local schools throughout the Hudson Valley.
This free, incentive-based program will promote and reward student achievement in our local middle and high schools, grades 7 through 12. The student-athletes work very hard throughout the year and deserve to be recognized for their successes!
Each participating school should consider nominating at least one male and one female student-athlete. Twenty-four (24) deserving student-athletes across the Hudson Valley will be selected for the 2023 season. There will be two designated recognition dates; 12 student-athletes will be recognized at each chosen date.
School administrators will decide how student-athlete rewards are distributed between the beginning of the program and end of the school year. The following criteria for nominated student-athletes should be considered:
- Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Academic and Athletic successes.
- Community Service/Volunteer work.
- Additional school involvement (i.e., clubs/organizations).
Outstanding Student-Athlete nomination applications will be accepted through May 5th, 2023. Please note the following timeline for submissions in correspondence with recipient recognition dates:
- May Recipients (Submission deadline: March 3rd)
- July Recipients (Submission deadline: May 5th)
Each Outstanding-Student Athlete Receives:
- One voucher good for TWO FREE 2023 Renegades tickets for the date of recognition (The printed ticket voucher will be redeemable at the box office. Additional tickets for family members may be purchased via the provided Friends and Family group portal link, allowing everyone to sit together).
- A Personalized Award & Certificate.
- Special pre-game ceremony honoring their achievements.
